20

The VNC Interface

21
Keypebble is OPIE's VNC Viewer, and can connect to any server that supports the RFB protocol,
22including the VNC servers available at
23htttp://www.uk.research.att.com and
24http://www.tightvnc.com. You can bookmark servers you commonly connect to and can scale the
25remote display to fit on your current screen.
26
When viewing a remote screen, you can access the following actions by clicking the arrow
27button at the lower right hand corner of the screen:
28

29
Send a Control Alt Delete key stroke.
30
Resize the window to use the full screen
31
Disconnect from the server
32

33

Options

34
Request 8 bit Session: Limit your connection to using 8 bit color, regardless of the color
35depth of the remove server.
36
Request Shared Session: Informs the server that you are willing to share the server with
37other users.
38
Scaling Factor: Setting the scaling factor to a higher value will fit more of the remote screen
39onto your local display at a time
